Fresh installation

  1. Download and unpack FM2M_ToolBox_200.zip.
  2. Copy the unpacked FM2M, SCRIPTS, and WIDGETS folders to the root of the radio SD card.
  3. If asked about folders, choose Merge.
  4. If asked about files, choose Replace.
  5. If you have an upgrade key, copy it to /FM2M/KEYS/.
  6. Restart the radio.

ToolBox 2.0 folder structure

  • Application: /FM2M/APPS/TOOLBOX2/
  • User data: /FM2M/USER/TOOLBOX2/
  • Stand-alone launcher: /SCRIPTS/TOOLS/FM2MTB2.lua
  • Widget: /WIDGETS/FM2MTB2/
  • Upgrade keys: /FM2M/KEYS/

Updating ToolBox 2.0

  1. Back up /FM2M/USER/TOOLBOX2/ and /FM2M/KEYS/.
  2. Replace /FM2M/APPS/TOOLBOX2/ with the application folder from the new package.
  3. Copy the package's SCRIPTS and WIDGETS folders to the SD-card root and replace the existing files.
  4. Restore your user configurations and keys only if they are missing.
  5. Restart the radio.

Migration from previous ToolBox versions

Important: Previous configurations are not compatible with ToolBox 2.0. Do not copy configuration files to /FM2M/USER/TOOLBOX2/.

If you previously supported the FM2M project and have a ToolBox PRO upgrade key, copy it from /FM2M/VC/ to /FM2M/KEYS/. It will unlock selected ToolBox 2.0 features as a thank-you for your support.

After confirming that ToolBox 2.0 works, you may remove these obsolete ToolBox folders:

  • /FM2M/TOOLBOX/
  • /FM2M/APPS/TOOLBOX/
  • /FM2M/USER/TOOLBOX/
  • /FM2M/VC/
  • /WIDGETS/FM2MTB/
  • /WIDGETS/FM2MTOOLBOX/

You may also remove these obsolete launcher files, including their compiled variants:

  • /SCRIPTS/TOOLS/FM2M_ToolBox_091.lua(c)
  • /SCRIPTS/TOOLS/FM2MTB.lua(c)
  • /SCRIPTS/TOOLS/FM2MTB.luac(c)
  • /SCRIPTS/TELEMETRY/TB091.lua(c)
  • /SCRIPTS/TELEMETRY/FM2MTB.lua(c)

Run in stand-alone mode

Open the EdgeTX TOOLS tab and start FM2M ToolBox 2.0.

  • On RadioMaster radios, long-press SYS to open the TOOLS tab.
  • On other radios, use the radio's normal shortcut for the EdgeTX TOOLS tab.

Run as an EdgeTX widget

  • Add a new EdgeTX screen.
  • Select the App layout.
  • Choose the FM2M TB2 widget.
  • When the EdgeTX logo is visible, key inputs control the EdgeTX operating system. Long-press ENTER or long-tap the screen to activate ToolBox key-input control.
  • To return control to EdgeTX, short-press RTN while on the Dashboard, or long-press RTN at any time.

LITE and PRO versions

  • LITE includes the core dashboard, monitoring features, and Carbon Plate theme.
  • PRO unlocks the complete ToolBox 2.x feature set and additional themes.
